Congratulations to Grange Medical Centre for the
Patient group 2016
Comments from Bradford CCG:
Patient groups have a poor reputation in City. We constantly hear that “they don’t work” The truth is, as we have seen with many practices following the Patient Engagement Leads scheme – is that they do work. With the commitment from the practice, we have seen some great examples of patient engagement in the past year. This year, one group has stood out for their approach to self-care initiatives, events in the community, involving and reaching people and building a solid patient group. The patient participation members at Grange Medical Practice are described as “very helpful, enthusiastic and very supportive in all ways”. They have supported the development of the practices access plans and are available to help and give new ideas. They are willing to participate in the events that take place in the surgery and attend the PPG meetings. They are an asset to the practice and an example of how good engagement can build a stronger practice.
